The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market Association in a not for profit society that has been bringing local food to local folks since 1992. Over the last twenty-five plus years we have grown from a seasonal Saturday market with a dozen vendors selling product off the tailgate of their pickup truck to a year-round Saturday market and two seasonal markets with over one hundred vendors selling a wide array of products that are grown, made, baked, raised or wild harvested within the Comox Valley and Strathcona Regional District.
Comox Valley Organics is a co-operative of certified or transitional organic farms who offer a wide selection of local fruits, vegetables, herbs, seeds, and seedlings. Our member farms: Amara Farm, Carraic Farm, Everfields Farm, and Minwaadizi Farm
We started farming on Dove Creek road in 2018, with a passion for food and focus on quality and sustainability, we aim to bring to the best we can produce. We grow asparagus, corn, garlic, broccolini, potatoes, and deliciously sweet strawberries, watermelon and cantaloupe …
In 1989 Vlasta Ulovec and Rod McNabb had no intention of becoming apple farmers. They were happy, living in Vancouver. But an ad for an organic orchard caught their attention. On a whim they took a look. That whimsical trip to Denman Island led them to buy the farm.
Amara Farm, established in 2012, is a certified organic vegetable, fruit and nut farm located 10 min north of Courtenay. We grow over 47 different types of produce and are committed to organic and regenerative practices that help put carbon back into the soil. We love experimenting with new crops.
We are happy to bring authentic Hong Kong-style buns and cakes to the Comox Valley! Freshly baked that morning with local pasture-run eggs.
We offer two markets to serve you: a year-round Saturday market in Courtenay and a seasonal Sunday market in Cumberland. Both locations provide live music, seating areas, market currency, accessible parking, and plenty of parking spaces. Please be aware that, for health and safety reasons, pets are not permitted at the markets, except for service dogs.
